Nickname: E.C.
Age: 8
Sex: male
Disorder: Reading difficulties
Comorbid disorder (or co-existing condition): speech difficulties
Brief description: E.C. has difficulties in doing the reading tasks. When a reading task is given he starts to sing, kick with his legs or with pencil in the table, chew his fingernail or clothing. E.C. is also trying to hide under the desk or is disturbing his close colleagues.
Place: Classroom
Setting: During the lessons when a reading task is given.
Measure: I try to involve him in small group reading tasks in order to become more independent, to give him more courage and confidence that he can do it without any problem. I also split the reading material in small parts and ask him to read the part that he chooses and give the reading material at home to practice on it.
Hypothesis of Intervention (Describe the desired results you want from the intervention) Increase the number of words, sentences, text, without showing the inappropriate behavior.
